Jamie Crooks

Jamie currently assists the firm as Of Counsel in its representation of public clients in natural resource damages (“NRD”) actions. His current practice includes lawsuits brought by public clients who have alleged significant contamination of their natural resources by per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (“PFAS”), aqueous film forming foam (“AFFF”), the gasoline additive methyl tertiary butyl ether (“MTBE”), and other hazardous substances.

Jamie also assists the firm with appellate strategy. Jamie previously served as a law clerk to Justice Anthony Kennedy of the U.S. Supreme Court and then-Chief Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Following his clerkships, Jamie worked as an associate at O’Melveny & Myers, LLP, where he was a member of O’Melveny’s Supreme Court and appellate practice group, briefing appellate and trial-level cases involving complex commercial disputes, federal administrative law, ERISA, class actions, and intellectual property disputes.

Jamie graduated from Columbia Law School, where he was a Ruth Bader Ginsburg scholar (top 1% of class) and an Articles Editor on the Columbia Law Review.
