Justin concentrates on environmental and natural resource damages (“NRD”) litigation. Justin primarily represents the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico regarding the contamination of public groundwater by MTBE. Justin also assists the Firm in its representation of the State of New Jersey, State of Maryland, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands in various NRD matters.
Justin has significant experience working with regulatory agencies, collecting and organizing the information, including electronically stored information, necessary to prove the case. Justin is also experienced in working with the environmental, technical and economic expert witnesses required in environmental contamination cases.
Justin has also represented parties in personal injury and criminal defense matters in both federal and state courts. In addition, he has volunteered with the South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center and Mi Maletín on a pro bono basis regarding immigration matters. While in law school, Justin also assisted the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, South Carolina on a pro bono basis, working with the Diocese on immigration legal services.
Justin was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is fluent in Spanish. He splits his time between Puerto Rico and South Carolina.
